Final Tally and Explanation of our Lateness

So sorry to be late with giving a final tally on this auction......  I will also have the info on June's family up for you very soon.  It seems that restarting the auction was a lot more complicated.  Many people assumed that I had the information from previous auctions and so it took everyone a little getting used to, in that I had to request all those addresses again that many were used to the Amy already having.  That took some extra time.

Our sweet Matthew also left our arms for Jesus's arms on the 18th of April.  His time in Pleven left him with too much neglect and the beating in his birth home had been too severe when he was 4 years old....7 years later that old blood was just not able to be cleaned out of his head so all we were able to do was love him and keep him comfortable as he left for a place of eternal comfort.  He will never again be in pain now, but we are definitely missing him here.

We wanted to keep things going as best we could, because his time there only reminds us of how much the children need out of that place......

For that reason we are thrilled to announce that between the PayPal donations and an offline donation made by the auction participants the total for the Hidden Treasures Auction this time was $2726 and Brandon's family is ready financially to go just waiting on a date for trip #1!!

Preliminary Total and Request

So we have a "Preliminary Total" of $1,902 for this auction which is HUGE and we are so very thankful for everyone's help!!!!  This is going to put Brandon's family within just hundred dollars of being fully funded for their adoption.  :)  Every adoptive family knows how big that is and what a relief it is.  They will be able to raise the rest of the funds without worrying about it so much because of the generosity.  We'll have a "final total" later, since donors often add a few extra dollars when they round up as they donate.  Its just always amazing to me what God's people can do when they come together to change lives!!  I can't wait to post an update of him when he lands and he and Reed are HOME.  I will be at that airport homecoming personally and will be sure to update everyone since they live locally and they have to let me.  ;)  For now all I have is a picture of his big smile that I know he'd give if he knew all the love that has poured out for him this past seven days!

****I do have one request as I'm continuing to notify bidders, IF you did not email the auction with the name you were bidding under PLEASE go ahead and do so still.  It is much harder to try to track down the bidders without that email.  It slows down the process and makes it where I'm bouncing between Facebook and email lists and begging others if they know.  Some of these names I "know", but I "know" multiple people by that name and I'm trying to guess which one it may be.  If you know me, then you know I have a house full of kids, so you don't want me to be crazier, right?  ;)

Thanks everyone!  <3

Summer Days with the Moodys, Book 5

This is a Children's Book.  "The fifth book in the series continues following the life of the Moody family. Join the Moodys on not-just-another summer. Life is always full to the brim and interesting!"  I'm told this book could be of particular interest to our homeschooling families, as it is about a homeschooling family.  It is written by Sarah Maxwell.
